EPCm, or Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management, is a model that distinguishes itself by not having a single turnkey contractor. Instead, the Owner directly contracts equipment suppliers and contractors. The management of risks is shared between the Owner and individual suppliers and contractors. The EPCm Consultant, such as Navsar Engineering International, is instrumental in project management. We develop project designs during a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) assignment, define procurement packages, prepare procurement specifications, and manage procurement on behalf of the Owner.
EPC vs. EPCm
EPCm is characterized by the split of scope into multiple packages, allowing the Owner more freedom in equipment selection and risk management.
